Rev. Stephen L. Woolverton (Pastor Steve) is an Elder in the Free Methodist Church, and is serving as the senior pastor for The Risen Refuge FMC, a church he planted in Jersey City, NJ, and associate pastor for The Eastern Christian FMC. Pastor Steve’s wife, Rita, is the children’s ministry director for The Eastern Christian FMC and leads the AWANA program there. He has 12 years experience in pre-marital and marital counseling in the church, and two years assisting marital and spiritual enrichment counseling retreats in the Navy. Pastor Steve holds a Master’s Degree in Human Relations, a Master’s Degree in Divinity, and is conducting research for a Doctorate of Ministry in Pastoral Care and Counseling. He and Rita have been married for 23 years, and have two daughters, Carol and Megan, who are both enrolled in colleges in Kentucky.

Dating, engaged, married couples all welcome.
