Prayer Guide
Instructions:
Set aside one hour for prayer. Decide on the time beforehand and schedule it. Go to a place where you will not be disturbed. Turn off your cell phone and any other distractions.
Expect distractions that seek to keep you from your hour of prayer.
Ask God to teach you how to pray and guide your prayer time.
If you do not know what to pray - ask God again to teach you and read over the scriptures below.
Follow the leading of the Holy Spirit within you.
In the Lord’s prayer (Luke 11:2) Jesus told us to pray for God’s kingdom to come. He said to them, “When you pray, say: “‘Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come
Pray for God’s Kingdom to come in your life, your families and friends lives and in the life of Crossroads Church in the following ways:
1. You and others would have genuine humility
Blessed are the poor in spirit (humble), for theirs is the kingdom of heaven - Matthew 5:3
2. For deep repentance in yourself, your family and in the family of Crossroads Church
“The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!” - Mark 1:15
3. That many people start seeking God
And from the time John the Baptist began preaching and baptizing until now, ardent multitudes have been crowding toward the Kingdom of Heaven, Matthew 11:12
4. You and others take new steps of obedience
For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:20
5. Freedom from demonic strongholds for all caught in cycles
But if it is by the Spirit of God that I drive out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. Matthew 12:28
6. For the Holy Spirit to move in people’s Lives
For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, Romans 14:17
7. Many people would get saved in 2022
Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again. John 3:3
8. People falling deeper in love with Jesus
“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. Matthew 13:45
9. We would experience true signs and wonders - healing and restoration
For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power. 1 Corinthians 4:20
10. Pray for those who are persecuted for Jesus.
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:10
At the end of your time of prayer write down any insights that God has given you and spend some time thanking God for meeting with you.
