A. Welcome
B. Purpose: Our purpose is to spread the Kingdom of God. We do this by multiplying groups of people who care for each as God's family. We begin by inviting new people to our group and building them to be followers of Jesus. Each person here has the potential to be empowered to start and be the leader of a new group and spread God's kingdom.

G. Background Information
These verses in Galatians are like a mirror. They reflect a battle within our selves between the flesh and the spirit. The flesh refers not to our physical flesh but to our sinful heart. It is sometimes translated as our sinful nature. Once we become followers of Jesus we are forgiven yet our sinful nature still exists and now we notice a battle between the sinful nature and the spirit within us which has been touched by God's Spirit. It is a battle for control. As we surrender more of our lives to the control of the Holy Spirit the acts of our sinful nature start to die. This is the process of becoming like Jesus or Christlike or holy.
H. Word: Galatians 5:19-26
