A. Welcome
B. Purpose: Our purpose is to spread the Kingdom of God. We do this by multiplying groups of people who care for each as God's family. We begin by inviting new people to our group and building them to be followers of Jesus. Each person here has the potential to be empowered to start and be the leader of a new group and spread God's kingdom.

G. Background Information
These verses give a great summary of the daily practices that the followers of Jesus engaged in. The word church refers not to a building but to a group of people that are united together. The word church comes from the Greek word Ecclesia which literally means “called out ones.” Thus the church refers to a group of people called out of the world to be the family of God with Jesus as the head. Note that they became part of the church through repenting which means turning around. Note that they meet together regularly and worked and lived together as a family.
